"Free Or Not?"
I have received many messages from people all over the
world searching for the TRUTH about Internet Marketing.
Sometimes I wanted to shout and say, "The Rule is this:
there are NO rules," but then again, this could be partly
wrong.
I didn't want to say that this "game of making money"
online requires your soul and heart, but then again, this
is partly true. I also tried to list what someone should
know in order to START making money online... The list
was huge.
I thought that if I made that list an ebook, I'd end up
writing the "Internet Marketing Bible" - or just a BIG
guide on Internet Marketing. Yes, that could be a good
idea, but there are good guides on Internet Marketing
already.
I also have visited many sites to judge whether they can
sell or not.
While I was not born an Internet Marketer, I became one
because I love the Net. The fact that someone is visiting
my sites and ordering my products while I sleep makes me
happy.
But I had to read and learn things. The very basic thing I
learned is that "make your site sell" means: "make your
site unique." In order to get the knowledge I needed to
make my site unique, I bought books, ebooks, and courses;
I also hired people. I wish I could show you the contents
of my hard drive. I keep one folder for everything I have
"bought" (that's the name of the folder) and another folder
for all "Payments." Both folders are HUGE.
One of the big myths is that you can make money online by
using free materials. That's a lie. I tried it.
I spent 6 years trying to figure out what's the TRUTH by
filtering all these free ebooks, forums, and free material
online...
I was indeed VERY skeptical and did not want to start
giving my money for ebooks, courses, and "private forums."
I spent all those years using free sources...

Free clipart and free images... (just search any search
engines and you'll find TONS of free images to use)
And then I was waiting... I thought that Search Engines
would send people to my site, they would click on my
images that lead to some affiliate programs, or they would
buy some ebooks I got with resell rights, and that would
be the way to prosper...
Wrong...
Tom Hua, the creator of the "Free to Sell" ebook, made
me think. I read in one of his interviews that he had been
spending some 1000s of dollars in advertising... At that
time, I did not know what ezine advertising was. But I
kept that advice in mind.
That was my lesson: You can create a successful product
if you just follow the same steps other people used to
succeed, add your ideas, and make a new product.
What's your lesson: Find what you like to do or what
you know better and find a Winner in that subject.
Study his/her life, what he/she did, and how he/she
did it. Then repeat his/her actions.
Bill Gates created Windows, but that operating system
was almost the same as Apple's operating system.
Bill's innovation was that he offered a cheap solution:
an operating system to "IBM compatible" machines.
He also offered cheap software for his operating system.
Find a HOT TOP-SELLING product or service, something
that you like or can duplicate. Add your ideas and your
"flavor" and make it a new product.
But always have this in mind: The process of creating
your product requires different knowledge from you than
the knowledge you need to promote your product and
to CONTINUE earning money from it.
I'll give you an example.
When I am saying that you must create a site that Sells,
I use the wrong words. There is no site that sells.
There are PEOPLE who sell.
You will get your sales from what YOU do and from what
other people do for you (customers, affiliates, and JV
partners).
So... why do people and Gurus tell you about sites that
Sell? Because in order to reach that important step of
having your sellable product, you must have already
created a site that can STAND as a SELLER site.
Do you understand this? If your site is NOT ready to
accept customers, you'll never get the sales you want
and will not find the people that could sell your product
for you.
In other words: if you don't make a site that sells, you'll
never reach the NEXT step. And the next step is to create
a site that makes the people SELL your product.
So... Do you use free images? If yes, do you have any
idea how many people are using the same images?
MILLIONS.
Do you use free hosting? Perhaps a redirection service
like http://come.to that will allow you to make a site at
http://come.to/money?
Do you use some free services that allow you to use
forms on your site, or a forum, or a "tell-a-friend"
feature, or a ...guest book?
In general, how could your site SELL since what you
created is NOT YOUR site?...
If you really want to create a business online, you must
stop depending on free sources.
You need a unique domain name.
You need a reliable web host.
You need unique images.
You need good sales copy.
You need scripts that will run on YOUR server - otherwise,
use remote scripts that will integrate with your site.
And above all, you need a product - YOUR product.
Make a Site that Sells, and if customers come, then
affiliates will come too.
And then the big money will also come by the JV
partners you'll meet. That's not a sci-fi scenario.
It's how I built my sites.
